Diamond Dance Company was officially founded in 2017 after Kristi taught various styles of Dance for a decade or two in Ulster County. With her strong dance background, she wanted to create a positive, comfortable space for kids to learn & to love dancing. With a high emphasis on community, class, and commitment- DDC was born in Woodstock, NY!

We focus primarily on Hip-Hop classes that are high energy and sure to get your child moving & grooving! Using popular age-appropriate music, kids learn the fundamental movements and isolations that serve as a foundation for dancers. We value the importance of weaving different styles of dance into the combinations- to create the best all-around & versatile Dancers. Jazz technique makes for beautiful turns in Contemporary. Contemporary & Lyrical drills across the floor builds strong muscles that aid in high flying Hip-Hop tricks. It’s all connected!

Through high energy Warm-Ups, Ice Breakers, Games, and Group Challenges, these classes are designed to not only develop strong dance skills, but to increase flexibility, rhythm, teamwork and self confidence all while having a blast! Each Dance Team works on a few show stopping dance routines to perform at our end of the year Recital- an event that has been called, “an Extravaganza!” Your Dancer will leave the stage feeling incredibly proud, confident, and ready to tackle the world!

Over the past few years, DDC has begun attending local Dance Competitions with our older Teams, and have been crushing it! We even went as far as to win the Highest Score Of The Day Award at Beyond The Stars Dance Competition. Look out for DDC!

DDC has also added a Contemporary Team taught by the incomparable Aubrey Contini. Chances are you’ve seen her beautiful dancing before- especially if you have ever attended the SBC’s “A Christmas Carol” at UPAC. She adds grace, and beauty to our Program!

Most recent addition- ACRO! With Kristi’s long gymnastics background, teaching Dance Acrobatics was a no brainer. Dancers will be challenged to further their flexibility, strength, and to master the art of being upside down!
