BOREAL is a band that plays Brazilian Music in New York. With Mariana Song on lead vocals and Gil Oliveira on percussion, both native from Brazil, joined by Timothy Hill on guitar, Steve Gorn on bamboo flutes and Gabriel Dresdale on cello, Boreal plays famous Bossa Nova tunes composed by Tom Jobim and Vinícius de Moraes, and other inspiring songs from various Brazilian composers. On March 4th, we will be playing a concert at Mountain View Studio in Woodstock, in a quartet format since Steve Gorn is away for a couple months.
